From skwigg's journal:
When your nocturnal friend texts you two hours after lunch and asks if you want to meet for breakfast... LOL I said yes even though I wasn't hungry. We ended up at a coffee shop. I don't drink coffee. I had a hot cocoa and a small piece of pumpkin cheesecake. The festive sugar hit and hour of giggling gossip was well worth it. I assumed that I wouldn't be hungry for dinner, but it's a couple of hours later now and sure enough I'm getting hungry.
I never regret doing something social and fun that involves food. Plenty of times I've regretted not doing it. It's always possible to be flexible and eat (or not eat) in a way that feels good. It's not possible to get those moments back if you turn them all down to stay home alone and control your eating.
