Let's talk ZGYM workouts from https://zuzkalight.com/zgym/.
I did a quick made-up dumbbell workout as an afterthought tonight. For most of the day I was either busy going to appointments or enjoying being a slacker.
I did cardio shred #46B today, and really liked it. That’s amazing because I usually haaaate anything with cardio in the title. Might have to get a wee more open minded.
I felt totally wiped the last couple of days so took Tuesday and Wednesday off other than a couple of walks. Today I did Kettlebell Fit Slide Beginner #2. I didn’t think it sounded that hard in the description but holy crap, 3 rounds about killed me!
Stretch and tone #20 today. I boogered my knee at work today (Damn cabinets) so I just modified anything that hurt as I went. It’s nicely bruised so I doubt I can put much weight on it for the next couple of days. I’m so graceful!
Yesterday I did Lifted Butt 11. I'm kind of sort of playing around with the idea of following the Bikini Butt Lift Program. We'll see though. My Zgym induced workout ADD might mean I change my mind on this in a week.... or tomorrow haha
I knew yesterday was going to be an insanely active day so I didn't do a formal workout. I did do some upper body dumbbell exercises while waiting for my pizza to come out of the oven.
This morning, I did Lifted Butt Series #13. I love that one because it's all zero impact weights. No jumping, no power bands, no sliders. My favorite exercise was the curtsy lunge with a medium kettlebell where you pass it from hand to hand and switch legs on every rep. It was a fun and I really felt it.
I did 2 rounds of a modified JRC and Abs #2 yesterday. It was fantastic and my abs are feeling it today.
10 miles of mountain biking yesterday. It was so fun and SO hard. I only had to walk up one hill. I was totally wiped out afterwards for the rest of the day, but today I’m not sore somehow!
Today I did 8 Minute Tabata #12. I used my lighter KB (15#) and did reverse lunges instead of jumping and girlie pushups. My heart was pounding by the end but it still felt like a nice recovery day.
Bodyweight beginners 10 and a 30 minute walk. My knees have been creaky and aching in plank, which is weird. I did the reptiles from the floor to take the pressure off.
I did 8 Minute Tabata #12 from the intermediate schedule. I like where she says you can go light for lots of reps and cardio, or heavy for fewer reps and strength. I went really heavy and took the jumps out of the lunges for a straight strength workout, but the lack of rest between exercises means it was still pretty sweaty and heart-thumpy.
Stretch and tone #10 and a short walk today. I am coming up on 2 months of regular zgyms, and I’m so happy with my progress. They are getting more manageable and I’m not at all bored. Win win.
Yesterday I rested (although I did practice a few kb moves when I happened to be hanging out in the basement with my husband). Today I did about 700 hours of gardening and Upper Body and Abs Basics #12 (3 rounds). Pike presses kill me. Everything else I found breezy and enjoyable after a day of yard work.
Tomorrow morning I'm going mountain biking, eeek! I haven’t been in almost 2 years...last summer I was super pregnant and/or had just given birth and wasn’t trying to get on a bike. I’m scared. Let’s see if these workouts are keeping my legs in shape, lol.
I did JRC #20. Oh my goodness it was so awesome! My husband commented on how breathless Z was during the workout and about how I laughed at the end. I told him I was laughing about her saying "Oh my god. I can't believe it. We did it. We completed two full rounds of this craziness" lol. It was a good workout. Favourite for sure.
I was leading a conference all this week, so I am just now getting a chance to catch up on posting. I did:
Power Yoga #2
Bodyweight Beginners #23
5 Minute Fat Burning Workout #34 (two times through)
Power Yoga #3 (I'm going back through all the power yoga workouts and loving them.)
And, today, I just finished the new Black Diamond #16. It was nice. I used bands for the assisted pullups as the ball seemed like a good way to injure myself, lol.
Today I did 2 rounds of upper body and abs basics #12. I wanted to go for 3 but my arms were toasted and I was short on time. I get ridiculously excited when I can actually do all the moves in a work out without modifying. This was one of those.
Yesterday, I did one chin-up. I was going to do a 5 minute workout but didn't have time for even that. Fridays are my busiest day. I usually do something hilariously quick.
Today, I did the new Black Diamond #16. It was a good medium intensity workout. I did the chin-ups unassisted and added extra twists to the Russian twists.
I also did Beg Bodyweight 23 today. I planned to only do 1 round, but it felt really good, so I finished it. I’m so impressed that I’m getting through whole work outs without dying every now and then! It’s like real progress is happening over here.
Yesterday I did 30 or 40 minutes of yoga on my own. Today I did Bodyweight Beginners #23, loved it! I think I’m finally getting my form down because I’ve had a lot less joint discomfort!
I did Bodyweight Beginners 23 today. I added 15lb dumbbells to the first few exercises. I loved the Curtsy Lunge to squat combo. I also really liked the leg and hip raise to arms up sit up. It was this oddly soothing rocking motion that also was really tough on my core. I didn't like the crab leg lifts. I did them for the first round, but in the second round I did one legged glute bridges instead. I also didn't like the side to side plank to down dog. I did it a couple time in the first round and then switched to just doing a plank. I can't remember what I did the second round, but I didn't do the plank to downward dog.
The new Jump Rope Cardio #20 X. It's killer. I'm killed. LOL
I just previewed it. Oh my god it looks awesome!
