Hi, everyone!
It's been awhile. To old friends: I've missed you and truly think about you all the time! To new friends: I can't wait to get to know you!
I still enjoy a good Zuzka workout once a week or so, but the bulk of my workouts these days have been more Pilates-inspired courtesy of Move with Nicole. Her workouts are free, and I love them! My core and upper body have never been stronger (and this is saying a lot when it comes to my arm muscles as historically they were difficult for me to build), and my lower body has maintained great strength. I find the workouts relaxing and challenging at the same time, and my body just feels overall GOOD. :)
Let me know if you check out any of her workouts!
Hi, everyone! This is just a note to say that it's been a few years now, and I'm still all about Move with Nicole. Haha! I usually do one of her videos daily (missing a few days here and there due to travel, life, etc.). I never do Zuzka anymore, and I don't feel the need to do anything else. I love how Nicole's sessions are never draining, but instead energizing. My body has never been happier, too. 💖💖 I still prefer shorter workouts on the daily, though (as opposed to an hour every other day, etc.), so in addition to her go-to 10-15-minute options, I also split any longer routines in half (like do the first twenty minutes one day and the second twenty minutes the next). There are so many options on her channel now; it keeps things really fun!
I really enjoy these videos. They're not tough on the body or mind, because even though the abs are burning, it's from like 4 different moves, not one. She rarely does more than 8 reps so the time really flies for me. I love all strength moves done from the floor, so Pilates is right up my alley in that respect. The stretching and toning are gentle, easy on joints, yet effective.
Last night I did a 20minute one full body and it was perfect. I was TANKED after Halloween at school.
Yesterday, I did the new 10 Min Inner Thigh Workout that Nicole posted. It was really good! I definitely felt it in my inner thighs. I then felt like a little ab work, so I did her 5 Min Ab Workout that I’ve done and loved before. I think my favorite part is the bear pose move at the end. My abs were burning by then! I will try to embed it below…I’m not sure if embed code works when in the app? We’ll find out. :) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/d492B8NheF0" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I tried one today after a little run, and it was GREAT! I did 25 minutes of a 35 minute one and it had a perfect blend of stretch, core and general strength. I have only done Pilates once before in all my life, and I didn't like it then. Now my slowed-down, realistic approach to fitness finds it very nice indeed! Thanks for sharing
Yay, Tonya!! Thank you for the recommendation. Pilates doesn’t get enough fitness love, IMO, so I’m always happy to see it.
@Tonya !!! So good to see you post!! How have you been? I love move with Nicole as well! She has some really great yoga/pilates workouts that I've enjoyed before.
Thanks for the rec! I subscribed to her channel. I used to take a lunchtime Pilates class at a former place of employment. It’s been more than 6 years and I miss it.
Hi Tonya! Welcome back! Thanks for sharing this channel. I need it for mobility! :D
Hi tonya, I love her workouts, she does some fun stuff 😊
Oooh, these look really good! I can't wait to check it out. Thanks for the link.
