    My Home Gym

    in Fitness

    From skwigg's journal:

I don't have a proper bench. I often use a Reebok Club Step or my Ugi ball. I have a barbell and a hundred pounds of plates. My house is tiny and I keep them stacked and hidden in the bedroom, so I don't use them much unless I get an urge to do barbell complexes or barbell hip thrusts. Mostly I use my dumbbells and kettlebells. I'd rather do single leg or suitcase kettlebell deadlifts than get the bar out. I have my workout equipment hidden all over the place. Pull-up bar, steps, bands, stability ball, TRX suspension trainer, etc. in various closets. Jump ropes draped over my bookcases. Yoga mats, yoga blocks, and foam rollers standing in corners. Here's my little area with a mat and weights. I have up to 24kg/53lb kettlebells and up to 35lb dumbbells. That seems to be enough for my purposes. I'd love a bench, squat rack, treadmill, Olympic bar, and bumper plates, but there's just no way in the space I have.
