Be a Little Less Perfect to be a Little More Consistent

    in Mindset

    From skwigg's journal:

I just saw this great tidbit from a Jill Coleman email:

"The most successful people are not the most perfect eaters. In fact, they never eat perfectly, and it's precisely because of that that they are able to be so consistent over the long run."

This is so important. It was difficult to get my brain around it. As a dieter, you learn on or off, right or wrong, all or nothing. Nobody teaches you to deliberately mess things up every day, but being able to do that is what keeps you eating pretty well forever, as opposed to perfectly for three days followed by weeks of overeating.

Jill also says, "Be a little less perfect to be a little more consistent."
